Dancing Tiger

This blog was built on the green stuff. And I am not talking about the cracker-nut jello your mother used to make. I am talking the green stuff Tiger dances upon on Sunday afternoons.

Ladies and gentlemen, I implore you: if you haven't had an opportunity to see a legend in action - take the time. We are watching Michael Jordan, Harry Houdini, Charles Lindberg, and Neil Armstrong. You must make the time to watch on a Saturday or Sunday (yes, sneak a peek) to see what history has taught us, which is this: Sometimes something great comes along, and your grandparents tell you about it, or you read about it in some history book and think, "That's grand! I wish I could have seen that."

It's right before us now.

There is something inspiring in Tiger's ability to "will" a win. Words don't describe the insane mastery in which he is able to hit the right shot at THE very right time. I believe no one ever has, nor ever will do it like he does it now. On Sunday he hit a shot that he had to hit to win a tournament by one stroke. I told my boys that they were watching perfection. After this photo was taken he spiked his hat down on the ground and let out a growl amidst the cheers of the crowd. Later, he asked his caddy why he (Stevie Williams) was handing him (Tiger) his hat...He was so focused on the shot to win the tournament, and so in the zone, that he had no idea he had taken his hat off and thrown it into the ground. Simply amazing.

I think I am going to use the "I was so focused and in the zone" excuse the next time I spike my driver into a waste basket after another skipper into the pond.
