"Witch costume guaranteed to scare your 2 year old so much that you don't dress up for 8 years" outfit I wore a while back. But something inside me said, "This is the year to make a fool of yourself." It started with a trip to DI with friends that we trust. One thing led to another and this:
Became this:
It reminds me of something that someone important said before, it went something like, "Whatever you do, do not go out in public wearing a women's blouse and pants that are painted on. Especially not around people that you will see again in the future." Maybe I am forgetting some of that quote, but you probably get the main points. My poor wife. I even dragged her into this too. But unfortunately, as is a true struggle for women with unearthly beauty, she came across looking incredibly gorgeous instead of corny. Here's a picture of the whole gang:
That's Allie dressed as a Cat, Matt in his Award Winning Gladiator costume. I say award winning because 2 years ago he won the award for best costume at our neighborhood Halloween carnival. He has worn it every year since. 3 in a row, best money we ever spent on a costume. Brayden is the very frightening Ghoul/Ninja/Black Rider. That is Nick as a perfect Harry Potter (a little black hair color and most kids couldn't tell the difference). My lovely bride is there in her FunkyTown outfit. So in otherwords, based on what you see in these pictures, it's been life as usual. Kids acting out their dreams through their costumes, and Jodi and I emphasizing the, "Boy, what in the world is she doing with him? question going through everyone's mind that we meet.

I hope the blog readers can gather that your costume also included a soundtrack. (The office wouldn't have given you first prize without "Jive Talkin' " blasting from your hip all day. Then again, who else would get the prize? The nun holding the Book of Mormon? That was definately a bad habit!)
You have raised the bar for all costumes!
Certainly a year to remember.
As usual, nobody blogs it better. And by the way, that pose looks a lot like the man I fell in love with in the 70's. (although I'm not sure he was in paisley)MAM
Groovy baby!
You guys deserve a Halloween award! I think you should bronze the gray pants and put them in your living room. Definitely a year to remember.
