And if you look down the menu there is a little known item, it's called:
Cafe Rio's Famous Tortilla Chicken Soup
There is a reason it's famous. It may be the best thing on the menu. And yet, you probably have never had it because your eyes are drawn to that burrito that can replace a body part. I was introduced to this little oasis of south-of-the-border soupy goodness by our wonderful friends Ray and Londa on a recent date night. That night, by the way, was also capped off by a steaming hot cup of truck stop Hot Cocoa that was made up of half cocoa, half creamer and half milk. That's right, the math is correct there. That may be another blog all together.
But anyway, after having the soup, I will never be the same.
My brother-in-law Matt and I went out to lunch today, and I told him we had to try the soup. He was so completely skeptical that it wasn't until I had born testimony about the new menu find that he relented and went along. After his first bite he said, "Oh, that's blog worthy." And it is. So, whether you live in AZ, NV or UT - don't be afraid to try the soup. You can always go back to your old friend Senor "Big as my neck" Burrito another time, you'll be going back soon.
