Last night I had a dream that I was golfing with Jack Nicklaus, the greatest to ever play the game. We were golfing at a beautiful oceanside resort in Salt Lake City. (This is a dream, remember?) I was impressed that he still had his original golf bag. I think it was original because it was leather and extremely worn, like a grandma's purse. We got in the cart and I tell you, I wanted to be the most teachable student he ever had. I wanted to sup at his every word of wisdom about the game, about life. We started driving down the cart path and he turned to me and said, "You know, the worst possible thing the LDS church did was clear out this bay of all the debris. If we have a hurricane it's going to come right in here and wipe this town out."
WOW. Aren't dreams amazing? I really think that speaks directly to my game. I am going to spend the rest of the weekend thinking about what Jack is trying to tell me. There is wisdom in those words. Deep. Very deep.
